I read a book by Scott Adams called “How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big,” that has a different take on getting to where you want to be in life. He uses systems instead of goals. That is probably a more accurate description of how I lost weight.
Yes, I had goals, but my lifestyle changes are now a system that I don’t have to think about very much. I slowly implemented changes that make many of my decisions automatic. I hadn’t thought of it that way before, but I can attest that the suggestions in the book are effective.
In addition to setting up systems and exercising, there is also a lot of good general information about how to be a better you.
